You’re bored and you’re stuck at home and you’re not sure what you can do for fun.
Well, no worries because I have compiled a list of fun stuff to do when you are bored at home.
I have placed them in categories so you can easily browse based on your interests and priorities.
Self-Care Activities
Sometimes life gets really busy and you can forget to take care of yourself. If you’re bored at home then this is the perfect time for self-care activities.
1) Apply a face mask
This is a great time to give your face the attention and hydration that it deserves.
You can use face masks that you bought at the store or you can make your own based on the ingredients you already have. Face masks can help to hydrate your skin and leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
2) Fill the tub and take a long warm bubble bath
When was the last time you took a bubble bath? Schedule some time to relax and soak in some warm water.
3) Give yourself a full body scrub
Body scrubs are great because they help to exfoliate the skin. Are you looking for silky smooth skin? If you said yes, then it’s time to give yourself a full body scrub.
4) Give yourself a manicure and/or pedicure
If you have some extra time on your hands, why not use some to take care of your nails?
5) Do a 5 minute home workout using YouTube videos
If you’re bored and looking for something fun to do, I highly recommend that you do a quick 5 minute workout. It’s short, it’s fun and it’s beneficial. It’s a win-win-win activity.
Once you do, you will feel happier and much more alive.
You can use YouTube videos to help you get started. You can choose a simple cardio workout like a dance session or you can choose to do abs or squats.
Just go to YouTube and type “5 minute workout” or “5 minute dance workout”.
6) Wash, massage and deep condition your hair
This is a great time to take care of your hair. Since you have some extra time, you can patiently wash, detangle, massage and deep condition your hair.
7) Try a YouTube beauty tutorial
Is there a hairstyle or skincare routine that you have been thinking about? Now is a good time to look for a tutorial that you can easily try in a step by step method.
8) Create a skin-care routine
If you have been neglecting your skin, now is the time to create a skincare routine. Remember your skin is your largest organ so it deserves your attention.
9) Call a friend or relative you haven’t spoken with in a while
Is there a friend from high school or college who you haven’t spoken to in a while? Or is there a family member who you haven’t checked up on in a while? Now is a good time to call him/her.
10) Plan your dream vacation
Rest is very important but with our fast paced life, it’s easy to keep going and keep doing. If you’re bored at home, you can use this time to plan your dream vacation.
11) Start a vegetable garden
This may not seem like your typical self-care activity but eating organically grown food can be beneficial health-wise.
So why not take this time to learn about gardening and taking the steps to start growing at least one vegetable.
Games and Creative Activities
Sometimes the activities that are really fun are the ones that allow you to express yourself and show your creativity. While other times, you may just want to do something that is challenging and practical yet enjoyable.
So these activities will help you to get in touch with your artistic and creative side as well as your inner child.
12) Make a dance choreography
I know that when I was a child, I enjoyed creating dance choreography. It gives you the freedom to express yourself and make something original. So if you like dancing, then this is a must-try.
13) Write a song about your life experiences
If you like to sing, why not write a song? It could be about something that you’re passionate or knowledgeable about.
14) Colour in an adult colouring book
Colouring as an adult can be just as fun as colouring as a child. If you want intricate designs then make sure to grab a colouring book that is specifically designed for adults.
15) Paint a picture
This is a good time to use your painting skills or improve them. You may shock yourself.
16) Write a poem
If you’re not a singer but you enjoy creative work, then you can try writing a poem.
17) Try a new baking recipe
One of the things that makes life exciting is trying new things. If you have never baked before, this is the time to try. And if you have done so before, it’s time to try a new recipe.
18) Cook a meal and plate it like a chef
I love seeing beautifully plated food. It just makes it look so much more appetizing. And I’m sure you like to see it too. How cool would it be of you could plate food in such a way that it looks like a chef did it?
19) Practice a Tik Tok dance
You may have seen several Tik Tok dance challenges. Have you ever tried one of those challenges? Now may just be the time to do so.
20) Plan and shop for your next room makeover
Planning and shopping for a makeover can be very exciting. You can browse Pinterest for inspiration and start adding items to your online cart or shopping list.

22) Play online games
A classic activity to do when you’re bored at home is to play games online. You can play regular card games like Solitaire or you can play Space Pinball, Checkers, Scrabble or Tetris.

Jigsaw puzzles are a great way to challenge yourself and keep your mind engaged.
24) Create new outfits by mix and matching clothes you already have

Do you have a playlist with all your favourite songs? If you said no, then this your time to add all your favourite songs into one YouTube playlist that you can play whenever you want to.
26) Compile all your old photos
Take some time to compile all your old photos and look at how you have transformed over the years.
27) Play your customized YouTube playlist and sing each song out loud
Singing out loud can be really fun. So press play on some of your favourite songs and start singing along like you’re performing at a concert. You can even have a solo karaoke session.

28) Do a personality test
Do you know your personality type? Now is a good time to learn more about yourself by doing a personality test. You can do a colour personality test, temperament test or Myer-Briggs personality test.

Do you like studying the Bible? Why not try using a new Bible study method to delve into the Word?

Do you want a boost in happiness? This is a sure way to put a smile on your face.

Read a new book on a topic that intrigues you. This could be a book on a topic such as entrepreneurship, budgeting, faith, apologetics, dating, relationships, purpose.
